Design Fundamentals

I believe that good web design revolves around simple, elegant solutions. I believe that a website's design should not get in the way of the website's message. I believe a website that is not user-friendly is useless.

I am always looking for ways to do better sites. I regularly update my knowledge with webinars, training and workshops.

As the Director of Website & Web Development at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, I manage the university's online presence. In March 2009 we released a new, redesigned version of our main website. We are now doing a review of that redesign.

When you've got a website, you've got to review it and study its effectiveness on a regular basis.

A good website takes some planning.
